The tradition of wooden houses in Slovenia

The tradition of manufacturing wooden houses in Slovenia is considerably lower than the construction of brick houses. Wood is used as supplementary material in the construction of a typical old house in Slovenia (roofing, balconies, windows, doors). In residential buildings, prefabricated wooden houses constitute minor part of all buildings in Slovenia. The vast majority of typical Slovenian racks has a basic structure of brick.
